We are a Lahore consultancy focused on overseas education. We help Pakistani students find the right course abroad and get there.
Our story
More than twenty years of advice
Our story begins in 2002, when our Chief Executive, Abdul Waheed, started advising students at Ed-Foreign, a Lahore foreign education consultancy where he became a managing partner and later chief executive.
Since 2010 he has led Aalaa Consultants, which opened with a clear aim: to help Pakistani students gain an international-quality education, and return with the skills to contribute to Pakistan’s progress.
We began in Shan Arcade, Barkat Market, in New Garden Town. In 2020 we moved to our current office at Raiwind Trade Centre, near the Wapda Town Roundabout. Over the years our advice has followed students’ ambitions, from the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia to newer routes across Europe and Asia.
What hasn’t changed is how we work: an honest assessment first, careful applications, and support until you arrive.
Our name
اعلیٰ
Why “Aalaa”?
Aalaa comes from the Urdu word اعلیٰ, meaning “highest” or “excellent”. It is drawn in the red Kufic letters of our logo, and it is the standard we hold our advice to.

Milestones
Along the way
2002
Abdul Waheed starts advising students on overseas education at Ed-Foreign in Lahore, later as managing partner and chief executive.
2010
Aalaa Consultants opens in Shan Arcade, Barkat Market, New Garden Town, Lahore, led by Abdul Waheed.
2011
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 by ACS Registrars.
2020
We move to Raiwind Trade Centre, near the Wapda Town Roundabout.
2024–26
We add European study routes, including Italy and Finland, alongside the UK, Canada, USA and Australia.
